Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Poke Info handles information when you use the Poke Info app on Android or iOS, visit pokeinfo.minsoeaung.dev, contact support, or purchase Poke Info Pro.

The short version

Poke Info has no Poke Info accounts, ads, gameplay analytics, or developer-operated cloud storage for your player content. Your Dex progress, teams, collections, Favorites, recent activity, and preferences are saved locally. Poke Info does not send this content to RevenueCat or operate automatic cloud sync. Manual exports and any operating-system backups are described below.

Poke Info does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. A limited amount of information is processed by Google Play or Apple, and by RevenueCat, to complete and restore the optional Poke Info Pro purchase on the platform where it was made.

Information stored on your device

Poke Info stores the content you create and your preferences locally on your device. This includes Living Dex progress, teams and team configurations, collections, Favorites, recent activity, and settings. Downloaded artwork, sprites, item images, and cries may also be cached locally. Available backup, restore, and device-transfer options depend on the app version and platform.

Poke Info does not automatically upload or have remote access to this local information. It remains on your device until you remove it in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app, subject to the operating system's behavior.

Operating-system backups are separate from Poke Info's features. The Android app disables Android Auto Backup and automatic app-data device transfer. On iOS, system backups such as iCloud or computer backups may include app data, depending on app configuration and your device settings. Poke Info does not receive those system backups; you manage them through Apple or your backup provider. Deleting local data does not necessarily delete backup copies.

Backups and shared files

You can manually export a .pokeinfo backup on Android or iOS; Pro also includes team-sharing files. You choose where your device saves or shares the files, including any third-party storage provider. Poke Info does not automatically upload or receive exported files. A copy is received only if you deliberately send one to support.

Exported files may contain the player content shown in the app's backup or team preview. Anyone with access to a file may be able to restore or read its contents. Choose a trusted storage or sharing provider and delete copies you no longer need. Deleting information in Poke Info does not delete exported copies elsewhere.

Poke Info Pro and purchase processing

Poke Info Pro is an optional, non-consumable, one-time purchase. Android purchases are processed by Google Play using your Google Play account and payment method. iOS purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple Account and payment method. Pro is not a subscription and does not create a Poke Info account. Poke Info does not receive your full payment-card details.

Poke Info uses RevenueCat to present purchases where available and to verify, restore, and maintain Pro access. Android Pro and iOS Pro are separate purchases, managed by Google Play and the App Store respectively. Buying Pro on one platform does not unlock it on the other; using Pro on both requires a separate purchase on each. RevenueCat creates or uses an anonymous app-user identifier to associate an app installation with purchase entitlement information. RevenueCat and the applicable store process purchase and transaction information, such as the product purchased, purchase status, and store transaction identifiers or tokens. RevenueCat may also process technical information needed to operate the service, such as device type, operating-system and app information, IP address, locale, and last-seen time.

RevenueCat can connect to its service when the app initializes purchases or checks Pro access, even if you do not buy Pro. Its purchase dashboard provides purchase history and sales reporting to the developer; this is separate from tracking gameplay or searches. An anonymous purchase identifier is not a Poke Info account and does not mean that no information is processed. Moving a player-data backup does not transfer Pro access or link Apple and Google purchases.

Poke Info does not send RevenueCat your name, email address, player-created app content, backups, teams, collections, Favorites, or preferences. RevenueCat's handling of purchase information is described in its Privacy Policy. Google's handling is described in the Google Privacy Policy; Apple's handling is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Optional remote media

Reference text and tools work offline. When media is not cached, Poke Info may request Pokémon artwork, sprites, item images, or cries from GitHub-hosted PokéAPI media collections. GitHub may receive ordinary network information needed to deliver the requested file, such as IP address, device or browser connection details, request time, and requested file.

These requests provide media you choose to view or play; Poke Info does not use them for advertising or profiling. GitHub handles this information under its Privacy Statement.

Website and support

The Poke Info website is hosted through Cloudflare. The site does not use advertising cookies or behavioral analytics. If you choose a color theme, that preference is stored in your browser. Cloudflare may process routine request, device, and security information, such as IP address, browser details, requested page, and request time, to deliver and protect the site. Its handling is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

If you contact support, the support inbox receives your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to provide. This information is used only to respond to you, investigate a problem, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Do not send sensitive personal information or a .pokeinfo backup unless specifically requested for a support case. Support records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.

Processing, retention, and service providers

Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, purchase verification and requested support are processed to provide the service you request; security and abuse prevention rely on legitimate interests; records required by law are processed to meet legal obligations. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent by contacting support, without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.

Purchase records may need to remain available to verify or restore Pro, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet financial or legal obligations. Uninstalling Poke Info does not delete RevenueCat or store records, cancel a completed purchase, or request a refund. Contact support for requests concerning information handled for Poke Info; stores and other independent providers also offer their own privacy-request channels under the policies linked above. Retention depends on the purpose, applicable legal requirements, and the provider's role rather than the life of an app installation.

Providers that deliver purchases, media, website hosting, or email may process information outside your country. Their privacy policies describe their locations, safeguards, and retention practices. Poke Info does not use these services to sell your information or target advertising. No storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security; avoid putting sensitive personal information in player content or support attachments.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete local app information in Poke Info, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Privacy requests cannot remove local data from your device or exported copies stored with a provider you selected.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent for personal information handled through support or purchase processing. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions. To make a request, email support@pokeinfo.minsoeaung.dev. We may request reasonable information to verify the request, but will not ask for your backup or local player data solely to verify your identity.

Children

Poke Info does not ask children to provide personal information in the app. A parent or guardian should be consulted before a child contacts support, shares a file, or makes a purchase. If personal information is provided directly to support without authorization required by applicable law, it will be deleted unless retention is required by law.

Changes and contact

This policy may change when Poke Info, its providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. For privacy questions, support, or a privacy-rights request, email support@pokeinfo.minsoeaung.dev.
